West Ham United were soundly beaten by Brentford at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Graham Potter has a lot on his plate at West Ham right now, and the road ahead will clearly be a long and very challenging one.
The performance against the Bees was utter dross, and that’s putting it politely.
In fact, the only entertainment at the London Stadium was provided by the Hammers fans with their cheeky chants directed at the Brentford away end.
It was a dismal day in East London for everyone connected with the Hammers.

And one player’s performance in particular was a microcosm of everything that was wrong with West Ham today.
Carlos Soler’s abysmal stats for West Ham vs Brentford
Hammers midfielder Carlos Soler was hooked at half-time during our clash with Brentford, after putting in a really poor display.
The belief is said to be growing that Soler will join West Ham on a permanent deal from PSG in the summer.
However, after his performance against Brentford, his future at the London Stadium seems bleak to say the least.
His statistics from the game on Saturday make for really grim reading.

Soler had just 16 touches of the football and failed to register a shot, or a key pass. He made zero tackles and no interceptions, and was dispossessed once. He also had one unsuccessful touch when receiving the ball (Who Scored).
The former Valencia man is clearly a very technically gifted footballer.
However, he needs to be played consistently in his favoured position if he is to thrive at the London Stadium.
Soler is at his best when he’s in the middle of the park, dictating the tempo of the game.
The Spaniard is rendered completely redundant when he’s shunted out on the left wing.
Graham Potter either has to use him in his best position or send him back to PSG in the summer.
