How do you feel as West Ham drop MORE points?

West Ham United's Lucas Paqueta celebrates scoring his side's second goal during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion at London Stadium on December 30, 2025 in London, England.

At the end of 90 minutes, the points were shared in what proved to be an exciting game at the London Stadium.

Lucas Paqueta has good and bad moments for West Ham

Paqueta, at the end of the game, was one of the best players on the pitch, but it wasn’t all good moments for the Brazilian.

While he did provide an assist for the opener with an important pass, he also gave away a needless penalty.

The way he was grappling with Lewis Dunk suggests that he should not have been marking the centre-back for the set piece.

Paqueta did make amends by scoring in injury time in the first half, but this was yet another mercurial display by him.

Max Kilman disappoints against Brighton

Kilman’s West Ham future is in jeopardy and he certainly did not play like it mattered to him.

He lacked the composure needed with the ball at his feet and kept on clearing the ball rather than stringing a few passes and adeptly building from the back.

The centre-back also gave away a penalty as he threw himself to the floor when there clearly was no need to do that.

Kilman was also off the mark with his passing and lost possession on eight occasions (Sofascore), which is clearly unacceptable.

Crysencio Summerville lets Nuno down, while Jarrod Bowen shines

Crysencio Summerville was brought off the bench to make a difference in the final third, but all he did was let Nuno down.

He made baffling decisions in the final third on the same day that Bowen could rarely put a foot wrong.

The England international didn’t just find the back of the net but was a constant threat in attack for the Hammers.
