Benrahma, who earns around £50k-a-week (Claret and Hugh), made an instant impact for the Hammers. The former Brentford ace teed up Jarrod Bowen to head home within a minute of the restart.

There aren’t many better at carrying the ball from deep than the Algerian. And if given a regular run of games he will surely prove to be a great signing for West Ham.

He already has two assists to his name for the east London outfit.

Benrahma could well be the key to getting the best out of Sebastien Haller as well.
