West Ham fans were pulling their hair out when the line-up for today’s game was announced. And some Hammers fans suggested that Jarrod Bowen looked well off the pace against Brighton at the London Stadium today.

The 24-year-old clearly needs a rest. He just wasn’t at the races today.
Jarrod Bowen, signed from Hull for £22 million earlier this year, gives us a real threat down the right hand flank. He is a real live-wire, but in order for him to be at his best, he needs to be at 100% physical capacity.
And the 24-year-old clearly wasn’t at it today.

David Moyes has to take the blame for today’s awful performance. The team selection was truly baffling.
We were playing against Brighton at home not Manchester City or Liverpool away!
Jarrod Bowen was poor this afternoon. We can’t criticise him too much, however. The 24-year-old has been a very good player for us over the past 11 months.
Hopefully Moyes will learn from today. The Scot cannot continually run his favoured players into the ground whilst ignoring the great talent we have in reserve.
Manuel Lanzini and Said Benrahma should have started today. They didn’t and the first-half played out exactly like every single West Ham fan knew it would after seeing the starting line-up.
