The 21-year-old has been the Hammers’ best and most consistent player over the past two years or so.
Declan Rice has fully established himself as David Moyes’s most important player at the London Stadium.

He has also made a name for himself with the England national team and looks a shoo-in for the Three Lions Euro 2021 campaign.
Declan Rice one of PL’s best
It has been quite the rise to prominence for Rice.
John Hartson waxed lyrical about the 21-year-old West Ham star, when speaking to Stadium Astro:

“I think Declan Rice would get into any side in the Premier League and he would be an asset in that side. He’s an outstanding midfield player, he keeps the ball, he’s a great athlete, he’s assured on the football and he’s brave in and out possession. He would be on lots and lots of teams lips in January, he is a top drawer midfield player and I rate him extremely highly.”
The West Ham fans know exactly how good Declan Rice is. He has the ability and work ethic to go on and become a truly elite player.
It will be absolutely vital for the Hammers to prove to the 21-year-old that we can match his ambition by backing David Moyes in the transfer market.
Declan Rice has already been linked heavily with Chelsea (The Times) and Manchester United (Daily Mail).
Keeping hold of him will not be easy. But West Ham must do absolutely everything within their power to ensure that the 21-year-old stays at the London Stadium. Our chances of achieving success in the future depends on it.
