Some West Ham fans praised Aaron Cresswell for his solid performance against Fulham in the Premier League today.
The 31-year-old Hammers defender has been a man reborn so far this season.
After the first game of the season, he moved into central defence playing as a left sided centre-back.
And Cresswell flourished for West Ham in his new found role.
Arthur Masuaku undergoing knee surgery in December forced David Moyes to revert to a back four, however.
Many West Ham fans feared for Cresswell.
The 31-year-old has been absolutely sensational though.
Signed from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2014 for around £4 million (Mirror), the Liverpool-born ace has been a great servant for the Hammers.
He was very solid defensively once again tonight against Fulham and his delivery in the final third was superb.
The former Ipswich Town ace has come on leaps and bounds this season – so much so that he is surely now one of the first names on David Moyes’s team-sheet.
He has even become somewhat of a leader this season.
