The 28-year-old came on as a second-half substitute against the Saints.
Lanzini’s energy, quality and composure in possession and drive made an instant difference to our pedestrian play from the first-half.
The Argentinian ace was brilliant for West Ham during his first three years in East London. He completely lost his form and confidence after suffering a serious ACL injury in the summer of 2018 though.

Lanzini has been a shadow of his former self ever since.
There have been signs that the Hammers ace is rediscovering his best form, however.
The former River Plate ace has made a real difference in recent weeks and months, mostly when coming into the game off the bench.
The same can be said yesterday. He will surely be given a start against Watford tomorrow now especially with Declan Rice set to miss out due to suspension.

The London Stadium was eerily quiet yesterday and the atmosphere was like the old days. Lanzini at least lifted that when he came on as a second-half substitute.
West Ham fans react to Lanzini display vs Southampton
Manu proved that he has so much to offer, especially against teams who play with a low block.
The South American now has to find a certain level of consistency if he is to really get back to the player he was three or four years ago.
David Moyes really needs someone to step up and take the pressure off team leader Declan Rice. And the 28-year-old might just be that man.
