Another two assists for Jarrod Bowen were not enough to convince Hammers News readers and subscribers that he was worthy of the Man of the Match Award following West Ham’s win over Everton.

Days after the skipper was criticised for a below par performance against Crystal Palace, Bowen recorded two assists in West Ham’s win over Everton.

How will the Premier League table look when it’s all said and done? 🤔

West Ham are in a precarious position with 4 games to go! 😬

Still, while Bowen’s individual contributions have been the story at West Ham United for so long here in east London, their bid for Premier League survival is not solely placed across his shoulders.

Indeed, this Hammers side are a band of brothers with budding heroes placed all across the pitch.

It was perhaps of little surprise, then, that Tomas Soucek scooped the award.

Soucek was brilliant for West Ham against Everton, scoring the opener from Bowen’s corner just before the hour mark with a near-post header.

The Czech also made last-ditch tackles and cleared balls off the line in what was one of his most heroic performances to date.

You have spoken! Where does this rank in Soucek’s best EVER games for West Ham? 👀

Tomas Soucek stats vs Everton

As per FotMob data, the 31-year-old did far more than just score his goal.

Indeed, the midfielder also won exactly half of his attempted twelve ground duels, while making seven defensive contributions.

A heroic shift from a player who still to this day divides opinion among the fanbase at times.

More performances like this, however, will further cement his legacy as a modern-day West Ham icon.
