The 21-year-old has been absolutely brilliant for the Hammers over the past two-and-a-half years.
Declan Rice has been West Ham’s best and most consistent player during that period.

And the 13-capped England international is undoubtedly now David Moyes’ most important player at the London Stadium.
The 21-year-old is strong in the tackle and is exceptional at reading the game and anticipating danger as it develops. His passing is incredibly accurate as well.
Jamie Carragher raved about the West Ham ace, when speaking on Sky Sports last night (Monday December 21st, 19:45):

“I’m a big fan of Declan Rice. He’s 21, it feels like he’s done a lot in his career already. It feels like he’s an automatic starter in the England team now, that’s some going. There is a lot of chat that he’s not a very good passer, but he can pass. He can pass with his right and left foot. The only one who I can think of who used to do that consistently was John Terry. People who tell me at times that he can’t pass, I just don’t see it.”
It is so refreshing to hear someone outside of the club recognise the Hammers star’s undoubted talent. The youngster really does have it all.
Declan Rice has been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium since the summer.
West Ham absolutely have to do everything to keep hold of him, however. He is the future. The Hammers are not the same without him.
The 21-year-old is priceless to West Ham. Let’s just hope that he sees out his entire career in the Claret and Blue.
