BT Sport commentator Ian Darke shared what he has been told about West Ham ace Craig Dawson during training, when speaking on BT Sport last night (Monday February 15th, 19:36).
In other news…Report: West Ham in race to sign 23-year-old giant once valued at £10m for absolutely nothing
The 30-year-old has been a resounding success with the Hammers since moving to the London Stadium from Watford on loan in October last year.
Dawson had to bide his time before being given a chance by David Moyes.
He was handed his first start for West Ham just after Christmas and he hasn’t looked back since.
The Watford-owned centre-back has played in all of West Ham’s last 12 games in all competitions. During those appearances, the Hammers have conceded just eight goals.
The experienced defender has been truly brilliant. He is an old fashioned defender in every sense. The 30-year-old puts his body on the line without a second thought. And the West Ham fans absolutely love him already.
Dawson is clearly committed to the cause 100 per cent on match-days.
West Ham ace Craig Dawson a monster in training
It seems as though he applies himself in the same manner on the training ground as well.
BT Sport commentator Ian Darke shared what he’s been told about the West Ham defender during training, when speaking on BT Sport last night:
“I’m told that during training one our two players stay well clear of him (Dawson) because he treats training like he does a match.”
The centre-back was superb again last night. He won four out of four aerial duels and five out of seven individual duels (Football Critic).
West Ham allegedly have an option to sign Dawson permanently for around £2-3 million in the summer according to Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers will surely take up that option.
The 30-year-old has been immense for David Moyes’s side. Long may it continue!
