The Argentinian ace was deployed in a deeper role against Burnley last Monday and he flourished in the unfamiliar position.
Manu played in the same role yesterday against Everton and performed well again.
Unfortunately for Lanzini, he was forced off injured just before half-time.

David Moyes shares worrying Manuel Lanzini news
The 28-year-old could be a key player for us between now and the end of the season.
That is if his injury isn’t serious of course.
Moyes suggested that Lanzini may have suffered a groin strain, however, as quoted by Football.London:

“Lanzini had an injury at the top of his thigh and it looks as if it is the top of his thigh or a groin strain that he had before.”
Hopefully the injury isn’t too bad.
Declan Rice should return to action next week but we still could have done with Lanzini’s guile and quality on the ball for our final three fixtures.
We will await any further updates on Manu with bated breath.
West Ham need him back asap. And just saying that proves how much he has impressed during his last two outings.
