Pablo Fornals makes bold promise to West Ham fans ahead of Manchester United clash

Pablo Fornals has made a promise to the West Ham fans that he and his teammates will take the game to Manchester United today.

The Hammers travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United in the 16:30 Premier League kick-off this afternoon.

David Moyes has to set up his side with more ambition today, if we are to have any chance whatsoever of beating Man United.

Since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time in December 2019, Moyes’s side have taken just two points from 19 games away to the so-called big six sides.

In addition to that, Moyes has never won away from home against Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool in 69 attempts throughout his career to date (Telegraph).

The Scot just sets his teams up not to get heavily beaten, and that has proven to be completely ineffective. Pablo Fornals insists that this afternoon will be different though…

The Spaniard has been talking to WHUFC.com about how the Hammers are evolving into more of a possession-based side rather than a counter-attacking one.

And Fornals insisted that he and his teammates are approaching the game against Manchester United with real ambition to win:

We have to [perform] the same as we were in Liverpool. We were probably better in the second half than the first, but we challenged them and created chances. We’re going there to challenge Manchester United too. We did that against Tottenham and got a draw and also against Chelsea, where we should have got a [point]. I know [Manchester United] are doing very well and are also creating their own style – but we want to be where they are right now and facing them will help that.

Let’s hope that the players live up to Fornals’ bold declaration.

West Ham boss David Moyes must change a habit of a lifetime and really go for the jugular against Manchester United.

We haven’t got anything to lose. Man United are expected to win, so there is absolutely no value in putting 10 men behind the ball. They’ll break us down at some point.

Let’s hope that Moyes breaks his ridiculous hood against one of the so-called big six today. West Ham could really do with a win.
