Dimitar Berbatov predicted a 2-2 draw between West Ham and Chelsea at the London Stadium this afternoon, when speaking to the Metro.
It will be a hugely important game for both sides.
The Blues currently occupy fourth spot in the Premier League table.
The Hammers are level on points with their London rivals, however, and can go three points clear of them with a win today.
David Moyes has worked wonders during his second stint in charge of West Ham.
Thomas Tuchel has done a fine job at Stamford Bridge as well, it has to be said.
Chelsea will not be relishing the trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham today one little bit though.
Dimitar Berbatov predicts West Ham vs Chelsea
Neither side can afford to lose today. It could be argued that a draw will be no good for either side as well, however.
Berbatov thinks that is exactly what will happen, however. He told the Metro:
“Oh my god, this is going to be an interesting game. Some people may think this will be a game that both teams can’t afford to lose so it will be tight, but I can see goals in this one. West Ham are surprising everybody and doing well but they also play quite openly at the back and Chelsea have great attacking options, West Ham play as a team and know how to get the ball in the back of the net. I can see this one being a draw.”
Berbatov has absolutely nailed many of his predictions this season. He has been so more accurate than the likes of Mark Lawrenson.
2-2 is a bold prediction, however.
Both West Ham and Chelsea cannot afford to lose. So it may well be a cagey affair at the London Stadium.
Having said that, both teams are more than capable of scoring a couple each.
It should be an absolute cracker. Let’s hope that the boys bring home the win. COYI X
