And that means full focus and attention can be given to the huge European semi-final with AZ Alkmaar over the next two weeks.
The Hammers welcome the Dutch side to the London Stadium for the Europa Conference League semi-final first leg on Thursday night.
David Moyes and his rejuvenated West Ham side then travel to Holland for the second leg a week later.
Hammers determined to go one better than last season
It is a second consecutive European semi-final for West Ham.
And the Hammers will be determined to go one better than last season when they were seen off by eventual Europa League champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
Some feel the stars are aligning for West Ham in this competition – especially after they avoided all the big hitters in their side of the draw.
Now the Hammers have been handed a major boost ahead of Thursday night’s first leg.

But AZ Alkmaar will also be missing FOUR of his teammates too. And West Ham’s website claim they have not even travelled.

“AZ will be without Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez through suspension,” West Ham’s official website states in a team news update.
“Captain and former Stoke City centre-back Bruno Martins Indi (thigh), goalkeeper Sem Westerveld (knee), Sweden forward Jesper Karlsson (leg) and attacking midfielder Dani de Wit (foot) have also not travelled.”
That is potentially massive for the Hammers.
Moyes and his players have to look to take advantage by securing a lead to take into the second leg.
Nothing can be taken for granted regardless, though. Because Alkmaar came back from 2-0 down after the first leg against Anderlecht to qualify for the semi-finals.
