Hammers star Jarrod Bowen has fired an ominous warning to Spurs as West Ham roll into north London on Thursday night.
West Ham go into the London derby with bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur in far superior form in terms of results.
West Ham are unbeaten in five while Tottenham have no win in four.
You would not think that is the case based on the media coverage ahead of Spurs hosting the Hammers, though.
Tottenham have been winning plenty of admirers with their swashbuckling style of play under Ange Postecoglou.
Bowen fires ominous warning to Spurs
Meanwhile West Ham were jeered off by some fans disgruntled with their team’s performances under David Moyes.

Now the Hammers’ top scorer has been speaking about the game and he has made a bold claim.

‘Spurs tough but I’m on fire’
The England man admitted Tottenham are an impressive side.
But he feels he is in the best form of his life and wants to keep his brilliant scoring record going in the London derby.
“Tottenham have started really well,” Bowen told West Ham’s website.
“It will be a really tough game. We played them in pre-season over in Australia and they were really good. They’re a great team and it’s going to be difficult. But, at the same time, it’s a derby under the lights and I’m sure there will be a really good atmosphere. It’s down to us to go there and try to win the game…
‘Best form of my career’
“I’ve always wanted to score goals. I want to be the top goalscorer at the club and I relish that competition and that responsibility of scoring goals. I’ve started with a good few goals this season but I want to score more.
“We’ve got a few games coming up quickly now, which is a real chance to get a few more. If possible, I’d want to score every week, but it’s more important the team wins the games.
“I’m probably the best form of my career and enjoying my football as much as ever. Maybe things away from the pitch have helped me as a person and a player but, whatever it is, I really want to keep it going.”
You have been warned Spurs. Let’s hope Bowen’s on fire once again.
