Spurs have sent a warning to West Ham fans in an official announcement ahead of Thursday night’s big derby clash.

There is no love lost between West Ham and Spurs.

Bragging rights are always on the line in this one. Not to mention that West Ham can pull to within three points of Tottenham Hotspur with a victory.

Over 3,000 West Ham fans are heading for north London to watch the Hammers take on Tottenham on Thursday night.

With an almost complete lack of parking and busy London streets surrounding Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, those Hammers fans are strongly advised to take public transport, rather than drive to the game.

But Spurs have sent a warning to West Ham fans in an official announcement ahead of the derby clash.

Spurs send warning to West Ham fans

West Ham had advised the club’s fans on the best way to get to the game in a pre-match preview.

“Just head for Liverpool Street and hop on a London Overground train to White Hart Lane or Greater Anglia service to Northumberland Park,” West Ham said.

“From either, it’s about a ten-minute walk to the Away supporters’ turnstiles in the north east corner of the ground.”

But now Tottenham have warned fans to be aware there is now potential disruption to services calling at Northumberland Park – before and after the game.

Official announcement over travel disruption

“Fans attending our home Premier League match against West Ham United on Thursday evening (kick-off 8.15pm) are advised to take note of the following travel information,” Spurs state.

“Supporters should be aware of potential disruption to the Greater Anglia services calling at Northumberland Park, both pre and post-match on Thursday 7 December.

“We encourage supporters to travel to the stadium early as there may be last-minute changes to the service. We also strongly advise that supporters to check the journey planner before they travel.”

For alternative routes, West Ham fans should refer to the club’s travel recommendations on the official website.

That states a shuttle bus will run between Wood Green station on the London Underground Piccadilly line.

Tottenham vs West Ham kicks off at 8.15pm and will be screened live on Amazon.
