Jose Mourinho will lead his Tottenham side out at the London Stadium to take on West Ham United on Sunday.

It’s obviously an absolutely huge game for both sides.

The Hammers are currently sitting pretty in fifth spot in the Premier League table, just four points adrift of second placed Manchester United.

Spurs, meanwhile, are languishing down in ninth spot and are a distant six points behind David Moyes’s side.

The fierce rivalry between West Ham and Tottenham means that Sunday’s game will be an absolute cracker.

Has Jose Mourinho dropped a clanger ahead of West Ham clash?

The Hammers players should not need any extra motivation leading up to the huge London Derby on Sunday.

Mourinho may well have given West Ham just that, however.

The Spurs boss told the north London outfit’s official Youtube account how he believes the Hammers will begin to drop down the table during the final third of the campaign:

“They are doing very well. I believe that in the end of the season their position and our position, they are not going to be the same as where we are now.”

David Moyes will be missing a big trick if he doesn’t have those quotes displayed clearly on the wall in the West Ham changing room prior to kick-off.

Perhaps Jose has just made a very big mistake. The Hammers will represent an incredibly stern test for Tottenham on Sunday.

And the last thing the Tottenham manager needed to do was give the West Ham players extra motivation.

Let’s just hope Mourinho lives to regret that.
