David Moyes has provided a Gianluca Scamacca update ahead of the West Ham vs Brentford clash tomorrow night.
The Italian hitman joined the Hammers from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window for around £35 million (Sky Sports).
Scamacca has struggled to establish himself with West Ham during his first five months at the London Stadium though.
That is partly because of David Moyes’s poor handling of him in my opinion. The Scot’s tactics are painfully unsuited to Scamacca’s playing style.

That is causing the Italian, and us as a team, a huge problem. He is a superb striker in my opinion, and will go on to be a massive player for us, as long as Moyes tweaks his system.
The Hammers could really do with having the ex-Sassuolo ace back fit for our clash with Brentford tomorrow. He sustained an injury during our mid-season friendly clash with Cambridge United earlier this month.
So could he be fit for the game tomorrow?
David Moyes provides Gianluca Scamacca fitness update
The 23-year-old striker hasn’t played for the Hammers since going off injured against Cambridge three weeks ago.
Moyes addressed the media this afternoon, and responded when asked whether Scamacca will feature against Brentford, as quoted by Football.London:

Gianluca has done a little bit of training, so we will see on him. He is probably lacking a bit of match practice.
We really need the Italian available tomorrow night.
Michail Antonio was absolutely woeful against Arsenal on Monday, and Moyes really needs to mix things up against the Bees.
Nothing changes if nothing changes so they say!
The Gianluca Scamacca injury update was neither a positive or a negative one. So it remains to be seen whether his name is on the team-sheet tomorrow night.
