The Hammers play host to Wolves at the London Stadium in the 17:30 Premier League kick-off tomorrow evening.

West Ham have begun the 2022/23 campaign in woeful form, and are currently sitting inside the bottom three.

Wolves haven’t been much better in fairness, and are currently only two points and one place above us in the league table.

The Hammers’ form has been really concerning, and rumours are beginning to do the rounds concerning David Moyes’s future at the London Stadium.

Tomorrow’s clash with Wolves will be vitally important, and we believe that a suspension blow for the visitors puts West Ham in a really strong position to get the job done…

Wolves suspension blow is great news for West Ham

Bruno Lage will be unable to call upon Nathan Collins for tomorrow’s clash with the Hammers at the London Stadium.

The 21-year-old has been absolutely superb for Wolves since moving to Molineux from Burnley in the summer for around £20 million (The Athletic).

Unfortunately for Collins and Wolves though, he will not be playing against West Ham tomorrow.

And that will very much be our gain and their loss.

Collins is suspended for three games after he received a straight red card for a poor challenge on Manchester City’s Jack Grealish two weeks ago.

And according to the Shropshire Star, that means that either one of inexperienced duo Toti Gomes and Yerson Mosquera will take the centre-back’s place against West Ham alongside Max Kilman.

The Nathan Collins suspension blow for Wolves is something that West Ham boss Moyes must be ready to really take advantage of.

The Scot needs to be brave and start both Michail Antonio AND Gianluca Scammaca together up front against Wolves.

Let’s take the initiative from the start and put the pressure on Wolves.

The Scot could then play either Said Benrahma or Maxwel Cornet in behind those two with a midfield three of Declan Rice, Lucas Paqueta and Flynn Downes.

The back four would then consist of Emerson, Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson (or Angelo Ogbonna) and Thilo Kehrer at right back, with Alphonse Areola coming in for Lukasz Fabianski.

That’s the dream anyway.

The suspension blow for Wolves is something that could leave them extremely vulnerable at the back at the London Stadium.

And being passive and set up to play counter attacking football juste won’t work for us.

Whether Moyes is brave enough to select a team like that remains to be seen.

One thing’s for sure though, if West Ham don’t get on the front foot and take advantage of the Nathan Collins suspension blow for Wolves, Moyes and the players will end up regretting it.
