Flynn Downes has to start for West Ham against Brentford tonight, if David Moyes is serious about turning things around.
The Hammers are in real trouble at the moment, and are currently sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone in 16th place in the Premier League table.
One of the biggest problems we have had all season is Tomas Soucek.
David Moyes’s blind faith in the 56-capped international is starting to cost us dearly. And Moyes surely has no choice now but to drop the Czech Republic international.

The answer is simple for the Scot, if he is to guide his West Ham side to three points against Brentford tonight…
Moyes must start Flynn Downes for West Ham vs Brentford
The 23-year-old joined the Hammers from Swansea City for around £14 million in the summer transfer window (Wales Online).
He has been hugely impressive in the Europa Conference League, but has only played here and there in the Premier League.
Downes is on an entirely different level to Tomas Soucek in my opinion, when it comes to technical ability on the ball.

The way that the ex-Swansea ace takes the ball on the back foot and opens up his body provides so much more fluidly to our play through the middle of the park.
He also enables West Ham to move the ball quicker in transition than when Soucek has possession.
West Ham absolutely have to beat Brentford at the London Stadium tonight.
And in order to do that, Moyes needs to start Downes instead of Soucek. It really is as simple as that.
