The Hammers welcome the Blues to the London Stadium this evening in what is an absolutely huge game for both sides.

Neither team can afford to lose today. In fact, both teams have to win.

Lampard didn’t do a bad job but it is clear to see that Tuchel has the Blues firing much more than Frank ever did.

David Moyes makes observation about Thomas Tuchel and Frank Lampard

Chelsea travel to West Ham today knowing that a win would cement their place inside the top four.

The Hammers will be well up for this one though. Tuchel will have to use all of his experience and know-how if his side are to leave East London with maximum points.

Moyes spoke to reporters yesterday and shared how that experience puts Tuchel on a different level to previous Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, as quoted by Football.London:

“He has done unbelievably well, but I have to say I thought Frank Lampard had got together a really good squad of players. I think Lampard was on the verge as well, there is something about being a young manager where you need to be given just a little bit longer. So I think Frank has been unlucky. But I have to say that I think Thomas Tuchel has come in and shown experience. He is a very experienced manager, to manage Dortmund and PSG you have to have very good qualities to manage at that level and he has shown that with Chelsea. I do think that Chelsea have arguably got the strongest squad in the Premier League so I don’t think it is a surprise to anybody that they’re doing so well.”

Chelsea have the small matter of a Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid on Tuesday to worry about.

So West Ham can only hope that Tuchel rings the changes at the London Stadium today.

Whatever team the German selects, however, Moyes’s men must go for the jugular early on. Let’s hit the Blues hard and fast.

We are more than capable of beating Chelsea. As Moyes said, however, Tuchel has more than enough in his armoury to make this a very challenging game for West Ham.
