Don’t let that fool you though, the Whites are a very good side and despite their current injury problems, Marcelo Bielsa will still have his team well up for this FA Cup third round clash this afternoon.

David Moyes will be keen for his team to record their third successive win in all competitions. Winning becomes a habit and with some important Premier League games on the horizon, it will be important to keep the morale amongst the squad high.

The Scot has obviously had to make a few changes due to injuries, positive Covid-19 cases and Said Benrahma being away on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

A few fringe players have big chances to make a statement to Moyes this afternoon, Ryan Fredericks in particular. The 29-year-old hasn’t started a game for West Ham since our Carabao Cup clash away at Manchester United back in September.

It should be an absolute cracker of a game this afternoon.

Let’s hope for a good performance, plenty of goals and subsequent qualification through to the fourth round of the best domestic football cup in the game.
