Arsenal have received a game-changing triple boost for West Ham and it may force David Moyes to drop one of his favourites.

West Ham’s task of facing an in-form Arsenal looked to have been made a touch easier earlier this week.

It was widely reported that Mikel Arteta could be missing three key Gunners stars for Sunday’s Premier League clash against the Hammers.

Bukayo Saka hobbled off in Arsenal’s win over Liverpool while Oleksandr Zinchenko was substituted at half-time due to injury too.

And striker Gabriel Jesus missed the game with an injury sustained in training. In an update earlier this week Arteta confirmed Saka had picked up a knock ahead of the West Ham clash.

Arsenal’s game-changing triple boost for West Ham

The Gunners boss said he hoped Saka wouldn’t be sidelined for long ahead of Sunday’s trip to face the Irons. But he offered no guarantees.

He did concede his starting left-back and forward looked unlikely to be available for West Ham.

What a difference a few days makes, though, it seems. And it could be bad news for the Hammers.

Because Arsenal’s game-changing triple boost for West Ham may force David Moyes to drop a favourite.

talkSPORT claim the Gunners have received a double injury boost with Jesus and Saka both set to be declared fit for the West Ham clash.

And they will also have key defender Takehiro Tomiyasu back from the Asia Cup too.

Without Jesus and Saka, West Ham would have felt very confident of getting a positive result.

But their returns could mean Moyes is forced into action with his own team selection.

Now the Scot may well have to drop centre-back Nayef Aguerd after hastily recalling him to his side for the 3-0 defeat at Man United.

Konstantinos Mavropanos starred against his old side and scored a magnificent header too in the 2-0 win at Arsenal back in December.

He was also excellent in the 3-1 win over the Gunners in the league cup.

Greek tragedy

Mavropanos did not give Jesus and co a kick. And they looked visibly scared of the man mountain.

Aguerd, while possessing a cultured left foot, has proved wildly inconsistent, weak and error-prone during his time with the Hammers.

He was partially at fault for two goals on his return to the team last time out, with Moyes harshly dropping Mavropanos despite him being one of West Ham’s best players in the draw with Bournemouth prior to the Old Trafford defeat.

Tricky duo Jesus and Saka would relish being up against Aguerd. So with the news coming out of north London that both will be fit, Moyes has a massive decision to make over his centre-back pairing for the game.
