Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho are set for recalls to the national team setup with Gareth Southgate due to name his final England squad ahead of the World Cup.
That’s according to a report from The Daily Mail who claim that Gareth Southgate is ready to bring the in-form Manchester United duo back into the England squad ahead of the World Cup in Qatar this winter.

And if Rashford and Sancho are brought back into the fold, it could well be curtains for the World Cup hopes of West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen.
However, he was handed his chance back in June, and earned four caps for the Three Lions.

Unfortunately for Bowen though, his form has taken a nose-dive since the start of the 2022/23 season. Meanwhile, Manchester United pair Rashford and Sancho have been in fine form.
Bowen is still yet to bag a goal or an assist in six Premier League games this season whilst Rashford has racked up three goals and two assists in six outings, and Sancho has two goals to his name already (Transfermarkt).
Both players operate out wide, although one saving grace for Bowen is that the Manchester United stars are better suited to the left wing, whilst the West Ham man almost always operates out wide on the right.
The main problem for him though is that that is Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s favoured position. So the outlook seems bleak at the moment for Jarrod…
Gareth Southgate England squad delight for Man United duo
Jarrod Bowen faces an uphill task if he is to feature for England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Daily Mail reckon that Rashford and Sancho are on the verge of getting a call-up by Gareth Southgate for his England squad.

And if they are given the nod, it is highly unlikely that Bowen will get the call as well, especially considering his poor start to the 2022/23 season.
England have just two more fixtures – away at Italy and at home to Germany, before Gareth Southgate must name his squad for the World Cup.
So if Bowen is omitted from the squad for the two upcoming Nations League games, it would be a huge blow for him.
We think missing out would be really harsh on the West Ham star. He has been brilliant for us over the past two-and-a-half years. And we think that he’ll come good again sooner rather than later.
We really hope that he is given another chance to prove himself. He certainly didn’t disgrace himself for the Three Lions back in June.
With Gareth Southgate imminently set to announce his England squad for the games against Italy and Germany though, it might just be too little too late for the Hammers ace.
