West Ham United ace Arthur Masuaku is making tentative steps back to fitness according to a report from Claret and Hugh.

The Hammers insiders suggest that it will still be a while before the 27-year-old makes his first-team return, however.
Arthur Masuaku joined West Ham from Olympiacos in the summer of 2016 for around £6 million (Sky Sports).

It took the Hammers four years before they utilised him in his correct position, however!

The Democratic Republic of Congo international has been a really important player for David Moyes this season. His outstanding ability on the ball has seen him flourish in the left wing-back role.
Masuaku underwent knee surgery just before Christmas, however. He has been a really big miss for West Ham. The Hammers need Arthur back to action as soon as possible.
Claret and Hugh have provided a positive update on the 27-year-old.
They suggest that additional surgery, which was originally a possibility, is not needed.

The insiders claim that Masuaku is experiencing no discomfort and has already began fitness work back in the gym.
West Ham don’t play for another eight days now. We then have four Premier League games before the end of January.
It would be great to get Arthur Masuaku back in contention for at least a couple of those games. Claret and Hugh’s update on the 27-year-old is certainly a positive one.
We need to be cautious with the Congolese ace, however. There is no sense in rushing him back. Let’s just hope that we keep muddling on through without him.
