Jesse Lingard is the latest West Ham United star to face time on the sidelines through injury.

That’s according to a new report from The Sun.
The tabloid claims Lingard is a doubt for Burnley as he continues to suffer with leg problems.

Tabloid report claims Lingard could be latest West Ham injury victim and is a doubt for Burnley
“Lingard underwent intensive treatment on his aching legs throughout last week just to make sure he was available for the clash with Chelsea,” The Sun claims.
“But the inspirational loan signing from Manchester United is still being hampered by the problem – leaving the Hammers concerned he will not be able to face Burnley on Monday.
“The forward pulled up a couple of times during the match and looked to be limping at times, something boss Moyes passed off as cramping.”
With Declan Rice and Michail Antonio out, losing Lingard would be a crushing blow for West Ham.

Pictures from West Ham media team disprove report?
But it appears The Sun’s story has little foundation. That’s if pictures released by West Ham’s media team this week are anything to go by.
Lingard was pictured in full training with his teammates the day after West Ham’s defeat to Chelsea.
If he was an injury concern Moyes and his staff would surely have rested the playmaker from training for a few days at least?
“Five games to go,” West Ham posted on Twitter alongside pictures of Lingard training with the rest of the first team.
Ryan Fredericks, Said Benrahma, Angelo Ogbonna, Jarrod Bowen, Manuel Lanzini and Moyes are also in the images.

Little substance to report as Moyes looks set to welcome back trio
The Sun’s report has also been picked up by other sites. They too have run the story with the suggestion Lingard could now miss West Ham’s big game at Burnley.
But it seems there is little substance to the report based on the pictures from West Ham’s media team.
Moyes looks set to be boosted for the crunch match by the return of Aaron Cresswell, Arthur Masuaku and Craig Dawson to his squad.
There was talk Rice may be available too. But that seems highly unlikely given he was only doing light jogging in trainers with no twisting or turning just last week.
