West Ham boss David Moyes spoke to reporters yesterday and suggested that he is hopeful of having Michail Antonio back and available for selection as soon as possible, as quoted by WHUFC.com.

The Hammers have some very tough games on the horizon over the Christmas period.
We would all like to have Michail Antonio back in action as soon as possible.
And Moyes suggested to reporters yesterday that he could be ready to rush the 30-year-old back if need be, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Michy’s back on the grass training. We’ll hopefully get him back as quick as we can. We can’t say exactly when that will be. He’s coming on well so hopefully that won’t be too long.”
Those comments stink of Antonio once again being rushed back from injury too quickly.
And we all knows what happens next.
The 30-year-old attacker has suffered previous setbacks when returning from hamstring injuries.
David Moyes made a huge error when he rushed the former Nottingham Forest ace back from injury last month. Antonio aggravated his hamstring and has been missing from action ever since.

The Scot needs to ease him back in this time around. Rushing him back would be a catastrophic error and the frustrating thing is that it is so easily avoidable.
Sure, we miss Michail Antonio. But if West Ham are to enjoy a successful campaign, we need him fit and firing on all cylinders. The best chance the 30-year-old has of doing just that is for Moyes to bide his time with him.
The Scot needs to learn from his past mistake regarding Michy. If he doesn’t, the Hammers ace’s injury problems may only get worse.
