West Ham have a few players who are injury doubts for the game against Bournemouth on Saturday at the Vitality Stadium.

Nuno Espirito Santo is facing a selection dilemma in what is an important Premier League encounter this weekend.

The Hammers need something from this game and for other results to go their way in order to make it out of the bottom three.

Lukasz Fabianski given 50 per cent chance to be available vs Bournemouth

Lukasz Fabianski is yet to make an appearance in any competition this season due to a back injury.

He was an unused substitute in the 3-0 loss against Tottenham on 13 August, but sustained a back injury in training and has not been included in any matchday squad since then.

His only appearance for a West Ham United team this term was for the Under-21s in the EFL Trophy back in September.

The Hammers youngsters won that game 5-1 and Fabianski played the full game.

However, injury expert Ben Dinnery, via his website Premier Injuries, has given the Polish keeper a 50 per cent chance to be fit for Saturday’s game against Bournemouth.

Much like Fabianski, Freddie Potts is also doubtful for Bournemouth, and so is Konstantinos Mavropanos.

Nuno will undoubtedly provide an official update in the pre-match press conference as well.

Is this Fabianski’s last season at West Ham United?

At 40, it’s fair to say that the former Poland international does not have too much time left in the professional game.

He did leave the Hammers at the end of the 2024/25 season, but returned within a few months following the departure of Wes Foderingham.

The former Arsenal keeper’s deal at the London Stadium runs out in the summer and it’s unlikely that he will be handed an extension.

The 40-year-old would have wanted to play more this season, but couldn’t because of injury issues and where he is in the pecking order.

Alphonse Areola and Mads Hermansen are the first and second-choice keepers for the Hammers, so Fabianski’s only way for game time is via the cup competitions.

If he does stay at West Ham beyond the summer, it would most likely be in a coaching capacity, although there is nothing to suggest what his plans are.
