Nayef Aguerd is unlikely to play any Premier League games for West Ham United before the World Cup, according to David Moyes.
Aguerd injured his ankle during a pre-season friendly against Rangers back in July, and subsequently underwent surgery.
Losing Aguerd for the first third of the season would have been a really big blow for Hammers boss David Moyes.

The Morocco international was signed to be an integral part of West Ham’s evolution into more of a possession based side.
As things stand, Moyes still hasn’t been able to call upon the centre-back, who he signed from Rennes for £30 million in the summer transfer window (BBC).
And it seems as though it still might be a while yet before we see him in action for West Ham…
West Ham boss David Moyes makes really disappointing Nayef Aguerd claim
It seems as though the Moroccan will not be back in action for West Ham in the Premier League until after the World Cup.
Moyes shared the news when speaking to Sky Sports:

Nayef Aguerd will go and play for Morocco in the World Cup, and in a way, that might help us. Because it’s unlikely that he will be ready for any Premier League games before the World Cup.
That really is disappointing to hear from the boss.
We were hoping that Aguerd would be ready to take part in at least our final two Premier League games before the break for the World Cup.
It appears as though that won’t be the case though.
West Ham fans will probably have to wait until late December before we see Nayef Aguerd playing in a Premier League match after David Moyes’s disappointing comments.
