West Ham trail the Bundesliga side 2-1 from the first leg at the London Stadium.

And they will need all their key players fit and ready for action for the clash.

Sky Sports footage from West Ham training this morning highlighted that injury doubt Johnson – who missed the Arsenal defeat with a thigh strain – was nowhere to be seen.

That came after a West Ham insider told Claret and Hugh the full-back had only a 50 per cent chance of making the Frankfurt clash.

But David Moyes appears to have received a massive boost if footage from West Ham’s media team is anything to go by.

Because it’s official, Johnson has trained as West Ham video shows a glimpse of the injured defender looking ready for the Europa League semi-final.

West Ham’s media team posted a near two minute video of the Hammers squad in training at Rush Green before heading to Germany with the caption: “Focused and ready for what tomorrow brings.”

Well tomorrow looks like it will bring a big shot in the arm for Moyes as Johnson can be spotted training in a couple of shots in the video from 1min 19secs on. Johnson can also be seen in the top right of the picture above taken at West Ham training today.

Vladimir Coufal is a more than able deputy at right-back should Johnson not be passed fit for the match.

Johnson has become the first choice right-back for large spells this season as Coufal has endured a tough campaign battling to rediscover his best form following a hernia operation.

Coufal – like many others – was far from his best against Arsenal at the weekend.

But he did register an assist for West Ham’s goal and was constantly pushing forward and trying to make an impact.

Coufal has the experience and quality to step up when it matters as he showed with a brilliant display in the 3-0 win at Lyon.

But if this West Ham video is anything to go by, Johnson looks fit and ready for action.
