West Ham have been filmed training before the trip to Germany and there’s no sign of Hammers star Ben Johnson.

The Hammers will fly out to Germany on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the huge Europa League semi-final second leg against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.

But it is all to play for in the second leg – especially considering the hosts have won just one game in all competitions on their own patch since December 18th.

David Moyes will be boosted by the return of Craig Dawson – who missed the defeat to Arsenal on Sunday due to suspension – as West Ham fight to make the final in Seville.

The 22-year-old played against Oliver Glasner’s side at the London Stadium in the first-leg last week.

The full-back has been rated 50/50 to face Frankfurt in the semi-final second-leg having sat out the game against Arsenal.

David Moyes revealed Johnson has a thigh strain and a West Ham insider told Claret and Hugh the full-back has only a 50 per cent chance of making the Frankfurt clash.

And there was no sign of Johnson when West Ham were filmed training at Rush Green on Wednesday morning ahead of an afternoon flight to Germany.

“There is a bit of an injury doubt about Ben Johnson because he’s got a thigh strain,” the reporter states as West Ham’s players are filmed training in east London.

“I haven’t seen him come out yet but we’ll keep an eye on him. And if he doesn’t feature, which he didn’t against Arsenal at the weekend, it will be interesting to see who David Moyes brings in.”

It is pretty obvious who Moyes will bring in.

Vladimir Coufal is vastly experienced and was absolutely brilliant in the 3-0 win away at Lyon in the quarter-final.

Coufal has endured a tough season as he battles to rediscover his best form following a hernia operation.

He – like many others – was far from his best against Arsenal at the weekend.

But he did register an assist for West Ham’s goal and was constantly pushing forward and trying to make an impact.

If Johnson does not make it then Coufal has the experience and quality to step up when it matters.
