Pablo Fornals was really poor for West Ham United against Silkeborg in the UEFA Europa Conference League last night.
The Hammers won the game 1-0 in the end, and subsequently qualified for the knockout stages of the competition.
It was a professional performance from David Moyes’s side, if not a slightly underwhelming one, but the boys got the job done in the end.
In all fairness there weren’t actually many standout performances, except maybe for Conor Coventry and Nayef Aguerd.

However, there were plenty who underperformed on the night, none more so than Fornals…
Pablo Fornals was really poor for West Ham vs Silkeborg
Fornals joined the Hammers from Spanish side Villarreal in the summer of 2019 for around £25 million (The Telegraph).
The 26-year-old is a real fan favourite at the London Stadium due to his passion, commitment and love for the football club.
Fornals is also completely selfless, and is happy to play in any position he is asked to.
Last night though, Fornals was deployed in his favoured central position, and we expected to see great things from the 26-year-old.

That failed to happen. He was really poor in fact.
Fornals missed an absolute sitter early on in the second-half that would have put West Ham 2-0 up against Silkeborg, and killed the game in the process.
The Spaniard was often wasteful inside the final third and he failed to give us any kind of foothold in the game in the middle of the park.
David Moyes brought him off 68 minutes into the game, maybe to give him a rest or maybe because he was just very poor.
Pablo Fornals needs to raise his game massively if he is to be a regular starter for West Ham between now and the end of the season.
