West Ham United centre-back Max Kilman really let himself down against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Max Kilman joined West Ham from Wolves in the summer in a massive £40 million deal.

Despite some impressive showings since his move to the London Stadium, the towering central defender is far from infallible.

Max Kilman said after West Ham’s defeat to Wolves that he and his teammates had been starting games too slowly.

Well I’m sorry Max, but you need to look in the mirror.

Something the 27-year-old did against Bournemouth was quite simply unacceptable.

What Max Kilman did for West Ham vs Bournemouth was disgraceful

Jean-Clair Todibo raved about his West Ham teammate Max Kilman earlier this season.

And we all know that he’s a very capable defender on his day.

His main asset is his strength, with his impressive physicality a key part of his game.

However, the former Wolves man was taught a real lesson during the Hammers’ draw with Bournemouth on Saturday.

Just before Evanilson found the back of the net in the 79th minute to level the scores up at 2-2, Kilman lost an aerial duel after he was bullied by Bournemouth ace Dean Huijsen.

So that’s the myth of Kilman being a bully of a central defender well and truly shattered then!

Konstantinos Mavropanos myth busted as well after Max Kilman display

Kilman has nowhere to hide after that shambolic showing against the Cherries on Saturday.

It wasn’t his first poor performance of the season.

However, there have been suggestions that when Kilman has played poorly for the Hammers this term, it was due to the fact that he had Konstantinos Mavropanos alongside him.

However, the big Greek centre-back wasn’t even in the starting XI for the Hammers’ clash with Bournemouth on Saturday!

So he can’t be blamed, and let’s face it, whoever was alongside Max Kilman would not have prevented the West Ham defender from being bullied.
