West Ham United were held to an uninspiring 0-0 draw by Rangers at Ibrox in their third pre-season match of the summer.

Mads Hermansen – 8/10, Man of the Match
West Ham United’s number one with his best performance of pre-season so far. Dealt with everything Rangers threw at him with confidence and authority, including a fine close-range stop and a terrific save from a top corner-bound Thelo Aasgaard free-kick.
Excellent handling, and distribution was much better too.
Kyle Walker-Peters – 5/10
Has struggled defensively in pre-season. Walker-Peters gave away a penalty at Southend and was given the runaround at times today by the unpredictable Djeidi Gassama.
Did offer an outlet going forward though.
Dinos Mavropanos – 7/10
Some very loose passes early on but Mavropanos grew into it. Played the ball of the game when he found Bowen with an excellent lofted ball over the top.
Some good defending too, especially when cutting out a Rangers cross at the front-post defending after Gassama had beaten Walker-Peters again.

Max Kilman – 5/10
Still far too passive defending crosses. Two of Rangers’ best chances came after he failed to deal with a ball into the box.
Ollie Scarles – 4/10
Not much to say, really. Scarles is confident he’ll get chances in the Championship, but his pre-season performances have offered little hope that he should be Nuno’s go-to left-back.
Mohamadou Kante – 5/10
A mixed afternoon. His performance was summed up midway through the first-half when Kante played an awful pass and, after West Ham retained possession, then set Pablo away with a fine through-ball.
Needs to work on his defensive awareness. Too often, Kante tries to intercept and gets easily bypassed.
James Ward-Prowse – 7/10
Ward-Prowse was fantastic against Stevenage and, after a rather quiet first-half, threatened to hit the same heights here. Tested Ivor Pandur with a decent free-kick in the first half and then looked like Wes t Ham’s best route to goal in the second.
Nearly connected with a Jarrod Bowen cross, a move started by Ward-Prowse’s fabulous diagonal.
Seems to be playing with a lot more zip these days though.
Jarrod Bowen – 6/10
On the fringes until he very nearly set up Ward-Prowse with a wonderful delivery. Also, one superb touch to take down a Mavropanos pass, but couldn’t generate the power on his shot.
Quieter than he’d have liked, but always capable of creating something out of nothing.
Keiber Lamadrid – 7/10
Good, again. Lamadrid has been a real plus in pre-season and continued his fine form in central midfield once again. Always positive with his passing and not afraid to try something. One lovely reverse pass into Taty, followed in the second half by some fancy footwork to release Pablo.
Looks set to have a breakout season.
Pablo – 3/10
Really poor. Again, never looked like scoring. On the occasions he did have half a chance – like when Kante played him through with a fine pass – Pablo was far, far too slow to get his shot away.

Taty Castellanos – 5/10
Not as involved as he’d have liked to be against a physical Rangers backline. Fizzed one ambitious effort narrowly over, his best moment of the game. Wasted a chance on the counter when his pass was overhit.
Substitutes – all on too late to make a real impact.
