Albian Ajeti has endured a horrendous time since leaving West Ham United three years ago.
West Ham boss David Moyes sold Albian Ajeti to Celtic in the summer of 2020 for around £5 million (Sky Sports).

That was after Manuel Pellegrini had paid £8 million to bring the now 26-year-old to the London Stadium from FC Basel the year before (BBC).

When Moyes sold Ajeti, some Hammers fans were questioning the Scot for failing to give the Swiss striker ample opportunities to prove himself.
Let’s be real here though, he failed to register a goal or an assist in 12 games for West Ham! David Moyes famously didn’t even know who the 26-year-old was when he took charge at the London Stadium in 2019.
And the Scot’s decision to sell him three years ago has since been proven absolutely spot on…
West Ham selling Albian Ajeti for £5 million now looks like a masterstroke
The Swiss striker’s pitiful record since leaving the London Stadium in 2020 makes for truly painful reading.
After joining Celtic three years ago, Ajeti failed to make any kind of impact with the Glasgow giants and he was sent on loan to Sturm Graz in the summer of 2022.
The former FC Basel man was then moved on to Turkish side Gaziantep FC on a permanent deal a couple of days ago.

He managed to score just 13 goals in 71 games for Celtic and Sturm Graz respectively – a really poor tally considering the quality of competition when playing for those clubs (Transfermarkt).
It was so obvious to see that Albian Ajeti was never good enough to make it in the Premier League with West Ham.
The fact that Manuel Pellegrini even brought him to the London Stadium in the first place was utterly bizarre.
However, Moyes managing to get £5 million for his services three years ago now looks like a masterstroke, despite the fact that the Hammers made a £3 million loss on the deal.
