Chelsea’s recent demise has obviously been hard to take for their fans.

Many fans from other clubs are loving it though, none more so than the West Ham fans. And we had even more reason to celebrate as Madrid thrashed our London rivals last night.

Whilst the Hammers fans were enjoying watching our old foes struggle against Benzema and Madrid, something else caught the eye.

As the camera panned around the stadium, the West Ham fans were given a real treat.

There was a West Ham flag in the Real Madrid away end at Stamford Bridge!

Surrounded by Madrid and Spanish flags and banners, the West Ham flag stood out in all its glory:

Perhaps it was just a Real Madrid fan trying to wind up the Chelsea home support? Or maybe it was an expat who is in town for tonight’s clash with Lyon and got a ticket for the Champions League game at Stamford Bridge as well?

Nobody really knows. What we do know though is that it was great to see!

A West Ham flag at the Chelsea vs Real Madrid clash might have surprised some people, but they are obviously forgetting one very simple thing…

West Ham truly are massive…everywhere we go.
