Jarrod Bowen is only keeping his place in the West Ham team because David Moyes doesn’t have any other options.
The 26-year-old right winger has been really poor this season. He has looked well off the pace since pre-season, yet he has played in every single Premier League game for the Hammers.
West Ham have been terrible this season, and Moyes is the main man to blame for our problems.
The players haven’t been anywhere near good enough either though – Jarrod Bowen in particular.

We covered a piece here on Hammers News just before the World Cup break suggesting that the ex-Hull City attacker needed to use the off time to rediscover his full fitness and best form.
Worryingly though, it appears as if he’s got even worse! So why on earth is he still starting every game for the Hammers?
Only one reason Jarrod Bowen has played every Premier League game for West Ham
The England international has started all 17 Premier League games for the Hammers this season. That’s unacceptable in my opinion.
What makes it even worse though is the fact that he has played 1,523 minutes – that’s 89.5 minutes on average! During those games, Bowen has bagged only two goals and one assist (Transfermarkt).
So why on earth hasn’t Moyes dropped him?
Well, the truth of the matter is that the Scot doesn’t have any other options. Maxwell Cornet is currently out injured and has been since early October.
Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma just don’t work on the right wing, so Bowen has been getting a free pass.
the only option Moyes has is to play Michail Antonio out wide on the right. It is perhaps something he should consider for our clash with Leeds on Wednesday night.
Either way, Bowen really should come out of the team.

It seems like Bowen could be a one-trick pony who has been found out.
His move where he cuts inside onto his left foot is so easily telegraphed now. So he has to work on adding some explosive power and pace back into his legs, so he can take his man on down the outside, and mix things up a little bit.
Bowen also seems to be reverting to being stuck on the touchline. He rarely floats into space in the middle of the pitch anymore – something that yielded such rich rewards for him last season.
Sometimes player needs to be dropped in order to give them the spark and hunger to reach their best levels again.
Unfortunately for West Ham boss David Moyes, he has little choice other than to play Jarrod Bowen in every single game at the moment. And it is costing us dearly.
