Lucas Paqueta appears to be keen on leaving West Ham as soon as possible.

The Brazil international has not played since 6 January, when West Ham lost 2-1 to Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium.

Flamengo appear favourites to sign Paqueta and have already agreed personal terms with him.

How many points would West Ham have taken from their last two games if Lucas Paqueta had been playing? 🤔

Maybe I’m harsh, but I just don’t think he suits this team anymore…

Lucas Paqueta sends clear message via Instagram

At the start of the season, the 28-year-old was posting pictures regularly in West Ham merchandise, be it from training or from matchdays.

After wins, too, Paqueta used to take to Instagram to thank the fans and share a few images from the games.

However, since all the reports began to surface about him being disgruntled at the club, the Brazilian has opted against doing any of it.

How much money would it take for you to sell Lucas Paqueta? 🤔

His last post about the Hammers was back on 7 December, and despite recent wins, there is nothing from him on social media.

Paqueta’s lack of posts on Instagram surely suggests that he wants to leave as soon as possible.

The deal seems to be hinging on West Ham and Flamengo agreeing on a transfer fee, and once that is done, an exit should follow.

How will Paqueta be remembered at West Ham?

When Paqueta moved to the London Stadium, it was viewed as a big coup, as there were other big clubs that were also linked.

He was arguably the most talented player at the club back then, and the plan surely was to build the squad around him.

Fans certainly will look back at his time at the London Stadium with mixed feelings, as he was an extremely skilful player who was divisive and frustrating.

Initially, he was among the best creative players in the Premier League, and everything seemed to be going well.

However, the spot fixing allegation, which he was later cleared of, affected his form and morale, and things never seemed to be the same after that.

He no longer had the same kind of consistency, went missing in big games, and cut a petulant figure on and off the pitch.

Once he leaves and decent money arrives, fans will be delighted and will hope that the club spend those funds well.
