It’s so much worse than just 3 points dropped vs Arsenal, star West Ham trio could now leave – view

Things could be about to get so much worse for West Ham United after our shocking 6-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

It was much more than merely just dropping three points for West Ham against Arsenal, and I’m not talking about the soul destroying manner of the defeat either.

David Moyes has real problems on his hands right now, and Sunday’s slapping at the hands of the Gunners meant that new contract talks have now been shelved.

Every single person involved with West Ham is feeling really down right now after the horror show at the London Stadium on Sunday.

However, the Hammers fans need to be gravely concerned about a lot more than just three points dropped from the Gunners clash. We should be extremely worried about what the future may hold for us, when it comes to the futures of Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta and Mohammed Kudus

Star West Ham trio could now leave after Arsenal humiliation

Those three players mentioned above will have absolutely no interest in hanging around if we continue to set up like that against the so-called big six.

There is definitely no longstanding future in ‘Moyesball’. Whatever way you cut it, it’s just an unsustainable system – certainly not when you have aspirations of a top six finish and success in Europe.

Kudus, Bowen and Paqueta are all easily good enough to play for a truly top-class side, I’m talking the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Brazilian missed out at the London Stadium on Sunday, but the Ghanaian and the Englishman must have been thinking, ‘what on earth is happening here?’.

And not just when we were 6-0 down but a long time before that, when it was clear to see that Moyes had set his team up in the usual 10 men behind the ball system in the hope that we can nick something from a set-piece.

The Scot has top quality footballers at his disposal now, and there is absolutely no excuse for the football that he deploys. As the Guardian highlighted the other day, West Ham are in the bottom seven out of all the teams in Europe’s top five leagues for ball possession stats…but we’re the only team there with a manager who plays that way through choice.

If Moyes remains in charge of the Hammers, and refuses to evolve, there is absolutely no way that Bowen, Paqueta and Kudus will join him on that journey.

Any repeats of the 6-0 smashing from Arsenal, and the way in which West Ham surrendered as a team, will make sure of that.
