David Moyes has admitted that the quality of Declan Rice is forcing him to search for better players to bring to West Ham United, as quoted by the Mirror.

And the Scot suggested that if he does just that, he believes Dec will stay at the London Stadium for as long as the squad continues to improve.
Rice, 22, has firmly established himself as the most important and valuable player at West Ham over the past couple of years.
Since the middle of the 2018/19 campaign, the 13-capped England international has been the Hammers’ best and most consistent player.
That says a lot about Rice considering the fact that he is just 22!
David Moyes urges club to match ambition of Declan Rice
The 22-year-old must be delighted with how things are going at the moment.
The Hammers have made some spectacular recent additions including the likes of Tomas Soucek, Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen and Vladimir Coufal.
And David Moyes believes that West Ham’s recruitment could hold the key to keeping Rice at the London Stadium, as quoted by the Mirror:
“Declan is pushing me to improve the team. I’m looking at him and saying, ‘You’re an England international, possibly a future England captain, and you want me to get you good players. Good players you can play with and who want to get better’. So every day I look at him, I think, ‘My goodness, he’s making me find better players in turn to make West Ham better’. I think Declan will always be here as long as he thinks I’m going to try to get him good players. So, hopefully, he will have liked the way we’ve gone forward and think we’ve brought good players. For the likes of Declan and the players we’ve got, I want them to see we’re building a young team for the future. I want this level to be continuous if it can be.”
Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all said to be keen on signing Rice (The Express).
The Times claims that West Ham value the 22-year-old at around £80 million, however. It might just be hard for the East London outfit to resist approaches from any of those three clubs, if they do need come knocking.
It does seem as though Dec absolutely loves West Ham though.
If we continue to match his ambition in the transfer market, there is no reason why we can’t keep hold of him for the foreseeable future.
That seems to be David Moyes’s cunning plan anyway!
