West Ham to lose out on 'special talent' Kristjan Asllani as Inter Milan agree £8.6m deal

West Ham United look set to miss out on Kristjan Asllani with the midfielder allegedly closing in on a move to join Inter Milan.

That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport who claim that the 20-year-old is set to join Inter Milan in a €10 million (£8.6 million) deal.

Hammers boss David Moyes wanted to bring Asllani to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window according to a report from Calciomercato.it.

Central midfield is an area at the London Stadium where Moyes desperately needs to bolster before the start of next season.

It seems as though we’re set to face some real disappointment, however…

West Ham to miss out on Asllani

Inter Milan have agreed an £8.6 million deal to sign the Empoli ace according to a report from Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport.

We believe that the Albanian ace would have been a very strong addition for the Hammers.

So missing out on his signature to Inter Milan will undoubtedly be a big blow for us.

The 20-year-old made a huge impression in Serie A last season and was one of Empoli’s standout performers.

Asllani is a tough tackling and energetic defensive midfielder by trade. He is very strong in the challenge and quick along the ground.

On face value, the Empoli ace seems to possess all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League. He is still very young though and is obviously unproven at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.

The Empoli ace would certainly have provided solid cover and competition for Delcna Rice and Tomas Soucek in the middle of the park.

He has been described as a ‘special talent’ by Albania Hub.

West Ham signing Asllani for just £8.6 million would have represented brilliant value for the club.

Unfortunately for the Hammers, however, it seems as though Inter Milan have won the race to sign the talented Albanian ace.
