West Ham United star Craig Dawson says he wants to get David Moyes singing a new chant fans have made up about him.
When West Ham first moved to sign Dawson on loan from Watford, supporters will admit they were far from impressed.
Fast forward two-and-a-half years and the big defender has firmly established himself as a cult hero at West Ham.
So much so, Hammers fans were devastated when it emerged he had asked to be allowed leave the east Londoners for family reasons as he sought a move further north in the summer.
The likes of Wolves, Aston Villa and a number of other clubs have been linked with a move for the dependable 32-year-old, who is said to have been commuting down to West Ham from Manchester.
In the end Dawson remained with West Ham and it is lucky he did because Moyes has needed him.
He has become the club’s first choice centre-back and West Ham are all the better with him in the side.
Hammers fans do not dish out hero worship willy nilly. We’re no Liverpool in that respect.
That kind of adoration and respect has to be hard earned.
And Ballon Dawson has certainly done the hard yards on his way to being honoured with his own terrace chant by West Ham fans.

Dawson told West Ham’s official website he heard the song being belted out during a win at Silkeborg.
And he revealed his teammates and club staff have been singing it to him ever since too.
Now West Ham star Dawson wants to get Moyes singing the new chant fans have made up about him.
“Of course, I heard the song in Silkeborg – you can’t not hear it because the fans are so loud!” Dawson told whufc.com.
“It’s great to hear and I definitely got a little bit of stick for it from the lads after the game – but they’re just jealous!
“I think the lads are singing it as well, now, which is nice, and I hear the players and staff singing it when I’m walking down the corridor at Rush Green, but I’ve not heard the gaffer singing it yet!”
Perhaps if Dawson signs the new deal that is being reportedly offered to him, Moyes might just be tempted!
