West Ham now have an edge in the pursuit of three big David Moyes targets including Ismaila Sarr and Ben Brereton Diaz.
Moyes in right in the middle of a big rebuild at West Ham this summer, quite literally.
The Hammers are close to completing their third signing for the first team with a £12m deal for Swansea’s West Ham-supporting midfielder Flynn Downes edging closer.

That will take Moyes’s summer spend past the £50m mark after the signings of £30m Nayef Aguerd and £10m Alphonse Areola.
A striker and attacking wide forward are also on the agenda for West Ham as well as another central midfielder and left-back.
West Ham have been linked with a host of forwards including Watford’s Ismaila Sarr and Blackburn’s Ben Brereton Diaz aka BBD.

Moyes has also reportedly had a longstanding interest in Juventus all-action midfield ace Weston McKennie.
Now West Ham could now have an edge for three big Moyes targets including Sarr, BBD and McKennie.
Because the daughter of new West Ham assistant coach Mark Warburton is a client manager at big sports agency Wasserman.
Last week Hammers News reported on how having Warbuton on board would give West Ham a massive boost in the transfer market because he is a great judge of player.

Now it turns out Warburton’s arrival could benefit Moyes’ recruitment in a more tangible way than we imagined!
Because Moyes targets Sarr, Brereton Diaz and McKennie are just three of a host of players represented by Wasserman (Transfermarkt).
Sarr has been touted as a target for West Ham this summer (The Mirror (print edition June 12th, page 72), BBD has been – and continues to be – linked (Claret and Hugh).
Meanwhile a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims Juve are willing to part ways with United States international McKennie this summer amid interest from Spurs and West Ham.

The West Ham Way and The Swansea Independent highlighted the Warburton Wasserman link when claiming it was the reason West Ham beat Crystal Palace to their client Downes.
Interestingly The Swansea Independent also claims Warburton has been a big fan of Downes for some time and wanted to bring him to former club QPR.
So Warburton – who has a relationship with West Ham boss Moyes which goes back over a decade – may already be having a big influence on recruitment.

And that could well grow as the family connection will surely give West Ham an extra edge – if not the edge – in some deals. It certainly makes things interesting.
West Ham historically tend to favour players under the stable of Will Salthouse whose agency, Unique Sports Management, was involved in a big merger last year with German firm International Sports Management (ISMG).
They formed Unique Sports Group and now have over 300 players on their books with Salthouse the CEO.
