West Ham have a ready made replacement for Aaron Cresswell. And he could end up saving Hammers boss David Moyes millions in the transfer market.

Emmanuel Longelo recently signed a new deal with West Ham that will keep him at the London Stadium until 2023.

The 20-year-old has really impressed for West Ham’s youth teams this season.

Longelo has played 84 combined games for the Hammers under-23’s and under-18’s.

During those outings, he has racked up eight goals and 11 assists – a fine return for a left-back.

The 20-year-old has pace in abundance, is an incredibly dynamic, athletic full-back/wing-back and has the kind of physical attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.

West Ham have ideal Aaron Cresswell replacement amongst their ranks

Cress was superb for the Hammers last season. He’s 31 now, however, and has lost his pace completely.

The Liverpool-born left-back is often found wanting positionally as well.

Cresswell does possess a wicked delivery, but Moyes should really be looking to upgrade upon the former Ipswich Town ace over the course of the next 12 months or so.

The 31-year-old, signed for £4 million in 2014 (Mirror), has been a great servant for West Ham.

He will certainly have to be replaced soon, however. And we think that Emmanuel Longelo could save David Moyes millions in the transfer market.

The 20-year-old is good enough to pick up the mantle from Cresswell. Whether he is given the opportunity to do exactly that, however, remains to be seen.
