Hammers boss David Moyes needs to add a top class, established centre-back to his ranks at the London Stadium.

Fabian Balbuena has just left West Ham whilst Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are 33 and 31 respectively.

The Hammers have already been linked with a plethora of central defenders since the end of last season.

West Ham transfer targets lined up

This summer should be a busy one at the London Stadium.

And ExWHUemployee named three central defenders who are at the very top of David Moyes’s list when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast (June 8th):

“Our centre-back targets will be very similar to what they were last year. So you’re talking Caleta-Car of Marseille, Maksimovic of Napoli, James Tarkowski of Burnley. There are other names by I think they would be the main ones.”

Any one of those names would be good additions.

It must be said, however, Caleta-Car would surely be the best option.

The Croatian is just 24 and has so much potential. He is available for just £13 million as well (The Athletic).

Maksimovic on a free would be a decent addition as well, however, as would Tarkowski as long as Burnley don’t want too much money for him.
