According to a report from the Daily Mail, Hammers boss David Moyes has had a £13 million bid for the 28-year-old striker rejected.

And Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti is allegedly ready to pay £17 million to bring the 50-capped Norway international to Goodison Park.

West Ham could really do with signing another striker before Friday’s deadline. Moyes currently has limited attacking options at his disposal at the London Stadium.

And King, who earns £45k-a-week (Spotrac) would be the ideal addition for the east London outfit. Everton reportedly joining the race for the Norwegian will undoubtedly be an inconvenience for West Ham, however.

Stats

The 28-year-old racked up six goals and four assists in 26 Premier League games last season (Who Scored).

In those outings, the Norway international averaged one shot, 1.2 key passes and two dribbles per game. He also won an average of 2.3 aerial duals per game (Who Scored).

The Bournemouth ace scored 16 goals in 36 Premier League games in the 2016/17 season. And that kind of return would take the Hammers or the Toffees to another level this term.

He was once described as ‘superb’ by Darren Bent (Football Insider).

If Everton are prepared to pay £17 million for King, however, the Bournemouth ace ending up at Goodison Park might just be the more likely outcome in the next few days.
