Scott Parker spoke to reporters yesterday ahead of his side’s clash with the Hammers tomorrow, and described West Ham as a ‘special place’, as quoted by Fulham’s official website.

Parker spent four years at Upton Park. And he won an incredible three Hammer of the Year awards during that time.
The 40-year-old made 129 appearances for West Ham and racked up 12 goals and 11 assists during those outings (Transfermarkt).
Parker was a real fan favourite in east London. And he returns to his old stomping ground tomorrow with his Fulham side.
Ahead of the clash at the London Stadium, the Cottagers boss responded when asked what his time at West Ham meant to him, as quoted by Fulham’s official website:
“They’ve done very well. They’re a very good team, a well organised team. With the way they play, they’ve got some very good players who can cause us problems. I’ve got amazing memories. It’s a fantastic football club where I had four unbelievable seasons. It ended in relegation but that disappointment will not dampen the memories. The fanbase is incredible, Upton Park – where I was playing – was a special place, so I’ve got many fond memories.”
The West Ham fans will obviously love Parker’s remarks. And the comments will endear him even further still to the Hammers fanbase.
David Moyes would love to have a player like Parker amongst his ranks at the London Stadium right now.
But in truth, West Ham have a pretty decent central midfield. We are a very string side and far superior to Fulham.
The Hammers must ensure that Parker has an unhappy return to east London tomorrow. Because if we don’t, our fine start to the season will have been for nothing.
