David Moyes is clearly keen to bolster his ranks before the transfer window slams shut.
The Scot has already brought Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal to the London Stadium.
But those two additions will not be enough if we are to enjoy a decent Premier League campaign this season.
Moyes’s priority should be to sign an established centre-back and a backup centre-forward before the transfer window closes on Monday.
It could also be argued that we lack any kind of strength in depth in central midfield, however.
And Liverpool ace Marko Grujic would be an excellent option for us.
Jurgen Klopp is allegedly willing to let the Serbia international leave Anfield before the transfer window closes for just £18 million (Kicker).
Stats
The Serbia international spent last season on loan with Hertha Berlin.
The defensive midfielder played 29 Bundesliga games and racked up four goals and one assist in the process (Who Scored).
In those outings, Grujic averaged 1.9 tackles, 0.8 interceptions, 2.3 clearances and 1.5 dribbles per game. He made 37.6 passes on average per game with a completion rate of 78.7% (Who Scored).
The 24-year-old is a very good player. And he would strengthen West Ham’s midfield options considerably.
