Arthur Masuaku has impressed over the last couple of games. But he cannot be relied upon to perform at the highest level on a consistent basis. And also, we will be in real trouble if the 26-year-old is forced to miss a sustained period of games through injury.
And Spurs ace Ryan Sessegnon would be the ideal addition for us.
According to the Telegraph, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to loan out the 20-year-old before next month’s transfer deadline.
It seems as though the timing is perfect for West Ham to strike.
Sessegnon, who earns £55,000 per week at Spurs according to Football League Fan Club, can play left-back, left midfield or left wing. And he would be a truly excellent loan addition for West Ham.
Sending the former Fulham man to the Hammers on loan would also benefit Spurs because the youngster will gain valuable experience of regular first-team action at the London Stadium.
