Sky Sports carried quotes from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Trent Alexander-Arnold yesterday but a selection of West Ham fans hijacked the post on Twitter.

Klopp labelled Liverpool star Trent as ‘the best right-back in the world’ and questioned the wisdom behind Gareth Southgate playing him in the middle of the park against Andorra the other night.

The West Ham fans think that Klopp’s comments on TAA didn’t do Vladimir Coufal justice, however.

Alexander-Arnold has been a standout player for the Reds over the past few years.

The 22-year-old is incredible going forward but has been suspect at times when defending.

Klopp clearly loves Trent, however, as do the Anfield faithful.

The Liverpool boss spoke to Sky Sports and said:

“Why would you make the best right-back in the world a midfielder? I don’t understand that really. As if the right-back position is not as important as the others. People who say that I struggle to understand how you could think that.”

Has Klopp missed something though?

The Hammers faithful hijacked Sky Sports’ post about Klopp and Alexander-Arnold on Twitter.

David Moyes signed Vladimir Coufal for West Ham last October for around £5.4 million.

And what a signing he has been. There is an argument to be had that the Czech ace is actually the best right-back in the league.
